HydroRush respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it and what you can ask us to do with it, in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

What we collect
- Booking details: your name, email, phone number, chosen package, date, time, guest count and any message you send us.
- Waiver details: your name, contact details, emergency contact, any medical information you choose to disclose, activity date and your electronic signature.
- Assistant conversations: messages you send to Hydro, our virtual assistant, so the conversation can continue and be improved.
- Basic technical data: standard web logs needed to keep the site secure and working.
Why we use it
- To confirm, prepare for and deliver your booking.
- To contact you by WhatsApp, phone or email about your booking.
- To meet safety and legal obligations, including keeping signed waivers on record.
- To respond to questions and improve our service.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not send marketing messages unless you ask us to.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers who help us run the business — our website and database hosting provider, and our messaging provider used to send WhatsApp booking confirmations. They may only process your information on our instruction. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Booking records: up to 3 years, for accounting and dispute purposes.
- Signed waivers: up to 5 years, as safety and liability records.
- Assistant conversations: up to 12 months.
Security
Your information is stored in a hosted database with access controls that limit who can read it. Booking and waiver records submitted through the website cannot be read back by other website visitors.
Your rights
You can ask us to confirm what information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it where we are not required to keep it. Email bookings@hydrorush.co.za and we will respond within a reasonable time. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.
Cookies
We use only the essential storage needed for the website and the virtual assistant to function. We do not use advertising cookies.
